Beginners and intermediate levels of all ages can start out in the winter sports of skiing, snowboarding or freeride.
Experts will have the chance to perfect and improve their technique, whilst the most veteran will have access to Grandvalira’s best specialist technical advice.
Grandvalira also has nurseries, snow gardens and children’s circuits throughout the resort so that children can enjoy their ski days’ and fun in the snow.

The Snow Garden is at the top of the Els Pioners Gondola. This is where you will check in.

Children 2 to 5 years old
Snow Garden
Snow Garden is for children aged 3-5 years. It's a dedicated area for children to have an introduction to skiing in a fun environment. Snow garden is for 3 hours and runs the same time as ski school
Kids Program
A full day program which includes a 3 hour ski lesson and activities for the rest of the day. For children aged from 3-11 years. Lunch included

My child was in snow garden last year and is ready to ski out of the garden now, can they join the group lessons?
You will need to book and pay for snow garden and once they have seen the child on skis they may decide they are ready to join in the group lessons or if they have a lot of children in the garden a group may be ready to proceed out of the garden. This will need to be discussed directly with the instructor.
Does the snow garden and start and finish at the same time as ski school?
Yes the Snow Garden runs the same time as the ski & snowboard school which is 10am to 1pm for beginners and 2pm to 5pm for improvers and intermediates.
What is the difference between snow garden and kids program?
Snowgarden is for children from 3-5 years and runs for half a day from 10 to 1pm or 2pm to 5pm on busy weeks. The children have a 2 hour ski lesson in the garden and an hour of fun and games.
The kids program is a full day and includes 3 hours of lessons, lunch and activities, this runs from 10am to 4pm.
My child is 3 years old but not ready to ski, what are my childcare options?
In Pas de la Casa they don't have creche facilities, the minimum age for a child is 3 years and they join in the Snow Garden. The nearest creche is in Grau Roig which is the next resort over but you will need a car to arrive here.

Children 6 to 11 years old
Group Lessons
Fun and interactive group lessons with children of similar age and ability. Lessons run for 3 hours and the start day is a Monday for midweek classes and the weekend ski school is Saturday and Sunday.
Private Lessons
Private lessons can be booked for a minimum of 2 hours for up to 6 people. A great way to learn and get focused tuition from one of Grandvalira's expert instructors.
Kids Program
A full day program which includes a 3 hour ski lesson and activities for the rest of the day. For children aged from 3-11 years. Lunch included

What day is the start day for group ski lessons in Pas de la Casa?
Weekly 3, 4 & 5 Day Lessons all start on Mondays - we also have 2 day Weekend lessons starting on Saturdays.
Will my child be with other children the same age?
The ski school will always try to group ages and abilities together the best they can.
Does the ski school for adults and children begin and end in the same place?
Yes, the meeting point is the same for all groups
What if my child is struggling to keep up with the group?
It all depends on the amount of children they have in ski school but generally there is always room for movement in classes.
Do children get a certificate at the end of the week?
In the mid-week classes there is a little race on Friday which is free for the children to enter and the instructor will issue a certificate on the Friday just before the lesson finishes.
What is the maximum number of children in a group?
The maximum number of children in a group is 12 children
One of my children is a beginner and the other has skied before, will they have different times for ski school?
Generally in Pas the beginner ski school is in the morning and anyone who has skied or snowboarded before will be in the afternoon. They do have a few improver and intermediate classes in the morning so it would be something you would need to talk directly with the ski school on arrival.

Group Lessons
Adult group lessons run for 3 hours and a great way learn to ski/snowboard, improve your technique, see the mountain and meet new friends.
Private Lessons
Private lessons can be 1 to 1 or up to a maximum of 6 friends. A great way to improve your skiing or snowboarding with the focus all on you. A quicker way to learn & improve.

What day is the start day for group ski lessons in Pas de La Casa?
Weekly 3, 4 & 5 Day Lessons all start on Mondays - we also have 2 day Weekend lessons starting on Saturdays.
What time is the ski school in Pas de la Casa?
The group lessons for beginners are from 10am to 1pm and for anybody who has skied or snowboarded before the lessons are from 2pm to 5pm.
Can Adults and children be in the same class?
Children 11 years and under will be in separate classes. Adults & children have different learning styles and speeds so best to be grouped apart.
Can I join a group on the Tuesday or Wednesday?
The group ski school and the splitting of group lessons begins on a Monday morning so normally the ski school won’t let you join mid-week.
What is the maximum number of students in a group?
The maximum number of students is 12
How does ski school know which group to put me in?
When you check in you will asked how much you have skied before and you will then you will do a ski off(a little test so the instructor can watch you and allocate you with the other of same ability)
My partner is a beginner and I am intermediate but we want the ski school at the same time?

Private lesson for children are fun and interactive with a 1 on 1 more focused learning and catered to the child's personal needs.

Private lessons can be booked for 1 person or for up to 6 friends. The lessons are focused on your personal learning and what you want to gain from the class.

Can I choose the instructor I want to have?
You can ask for a particular instructor and we can check when they are available.
Is there a minimum number of hours I need to book?
The minimum hours is two and the lessons begin at 9am through to 3pm being the last lesson.
Can we have a private lesson as a family?
You can book an instructor for the family but adults and children have different learning styles so sometimes difficult for the instructor. Also if you have a mix of abilities it will be difficult for the instructor to focus on any area in-particular.
How many people can we book a private lesson for?
6 people is the maximum in a private lessons with one instructor. It's best that you are all of similar ability.
How much are private lessons?
The prices of the lessons depend on the hour and how many people so please contact us for a quote.
