The Vallnord – Pal, Arinsal resort has two alpine skiing and snowboarding schools, one in Pal and the other in Arinsal.
More than 200 accredited and multilingual instructors teach classes according to the level and type of skier or snowboarder. .
Lessons are available as private or group classes according to your particular needs and preferences.
From a beginner, making their very first tracks on snow, to an expert who wants to hone their technique or explore and enjoy all the runs and secret corners of the resort in depth.
Vallnord also has nurseries, snow gardens and children’s circuits throughout the resort so that children can enjoy their ski days’ and fun in the snow.
Vallnord consists of two connected sectors, Pal & Arinsal which covers up to 63km of pistes. In the 2 centres they have + 200 instructors who share their expertise in the world of snow and mountains, as well as their skiing knowledge.
Arinsal Ski & Snowboard meeting point for group lessons is at the top of the Gondola or Josep Serra chairlift. See below for the specific areas for your level or course meeting point.
The meeting points for all ski schools is at the top of the main gondola or top of the Josep Serra chairlift.
You will need to proceed to the ski school office at the top of the gondola to check in for your private lesson and you will be then directed to wait at a post number for your instructor.
The meeting point is at the entrance to the Peke Park for children 4 & 5 years old.
The meeting point is at the Baby/Club Nursery which is art the top of gondola/Josep Serra chairlift.
Arinsal Ski & Snowboard meeting point for Peke Park & Baby Club is at the top of the Gondola or Josep Serra chairlift. When you exit the lift go right and head over to the Peke park to check in.
Snow Garden is for children aged 4-5 years. It's a dedicated area for children to have an introduction to skiing in a fun environment. Snow garden runs the same time as ski school
Baby Club is for children aged 1-4 years. This is a creche for the little ones, activities include playing with toys, painting, story telling and videos. Baby club needs to be booked direct with the ski school.
Group lessons can be booked on our website but please contact us to book private lessons.
Children aged 4 & 5 will begin at the Peke Park/Snow Garden and progress out of the garden if the instructor feels they are ready.
Generally the Snow Garden runs the same time as the ski & snowboard school. On busy weeks there are two shifts for ski school
In Arinsal they have a Baby Club which is a creche for children aged 1 to 4 years and they are looked after indoors and do activities such as painting, story time and videos.
Baby Club has to be booked directly with the ski school, you can either contact them in advance or book whilst in Resort.
Arinsal Ski & Snowboard meeting point for group lessons is at the top of the Gondola or Josep Serra chairlift. For beginner children the meeting point is at the bottom of the green stairs which are directly opposite the top of both the gondola and Josep Serra Chairlift. Advanced beginner children meet to the left of the Sant Moritz hire shop which is opposite the exit to the gondola. Intermediate children’s meeting point in below the Refuge restaurant which is by the Cortals 4 seater chair lift.
Fun and interactive group lessons with children of similar age and ability. Mid week classes are either 11, 15 or 19 hours and begin on a Monday. Weekend ski school can also be booked for Saturday & Sunday.
Private lessons can be booked for a minimum of 2 hours for up to 6 people. A great way to learn and get focused tuition from one of Vallnord's expert instructors.

The ski school will always try to group ages and abilities together the best they can.
Yes, the meeting point is the same for all groups
It all depends on the amount of children they have in ski school but generally there is always room for movement in classes.
In the mid-week classes there is a little race on Friday which is free for the children to enter and the instructor will issue a certificate on the Friday just before the lesson finishes.
The maximum number of children in a group is 12 children
Arinsal Ski & Snowboard meeting point for group lessons is at the top of the Gondola or Josep Serra chairlift. Beginner & Advanced beginner adults meeting point is located next to the wooden fence on the flat area immediately to the right as you step of the gondola or JOsep Serra chairlift. Intermediate adults(anyone capable of using a chairlift and skiing a gentle blue) the meeting point is opposite the customer services and in front of the Les Fonts Chairlift.
Adult group lessons run for either 11,15 or 19 hours and begin on a Monday. A great way learn to ski/snowboard, improve your technique, see the mountain and meet new friends.
Private lessons can be 1 to 1 or up to a maximum of 6 friends. A great way to improve your skiing or snowboarding with the focus all on you. A quicker way to learn & improve.

Weekly 3, 4 & 5 Day Lessons all start on Mondays - we also have 2 day Weekend lessons starting on Saturdays.
In Arinsal they have two shifts on busy weeks or just the morning shift if they aren't too busy.
AM shift- Monday to Friday 10-13
PM shift – Monday to Friday 14 to 17
The child age in Arinsal is up to 15 years and the instructors try to put similar age groups together. Adults and Children have different learning styles so they are best in groups with their own age group.
The group ski school and the splitting of group lessons begins on a Monday morning so normally the ski school won’t let you join mid-week.
The maximum number of students is 12
When you check in you will asked how much you have skied before and you will then you will do a ski off(a little test so the instructor can watch you and allocate you with the other of same ability)
Arinsal Ski & Snowboard private lessons- at the top of the gondola proceed to the ski school office where you will check in and be told which post to wait at for your instructor.
Private lesson for children are fun and interactive with a 1 on 1 more focused learning and catered to the child's personal needs.
Private lessons can be booked for 1 person or for up to 6 friends. The lessons are focused on your personal learning and what you want to gain from the class.

You can ask for a particular instructor and we can check when they are available.
The minimum hours is two and the lessons begin at 9am through to 3pm being the last lesson.
You can book an instructor for the family but adults and children have different learning styles so sometimes difficult for the instructor. Also if you have a mix of abilities it will be difficult for the instructor to focus on any area in-particular.
6 people is the maximum in a private lessons with one instructor. It's best that you are all of similar ability.

Cancellation
If you wish to cancel your booking, we must receive and acknowledge this in writing before 5pm (Andorra Time) to calculate any fees.
If your accommodation booking starts within the next 21 days – Please contact us within 24hrs of any Government Travel Restriction update that prevents you from reaching Andorra to claim your refund or change your booking. (contact us within 10 days for any Transfer & ski extras only bookings)
We are unable to offer refunds if you are self isolating for any reason, or their are testing or vaccinated status requirements introduced at any time before or during your travel or stay.
Terms and Conditions of Booking Your Holiday Booking Please discuss your choice of resort, accommodation and transport with us before you book, to make sure it will be suitable for you and the people you will be travelling with. If you or any member of your party has any medical problem or disability which may affect the holiday arrangements of that person, please tell us before you confirm your booking so we can advise as to the suitability of the chosen holiday. In any case, you must give us full details in writing at the time of the booking. If we feel unable to properly accommodate the particular needs of the person concerned, we reserve the right to decline their reservation. If you are booking on behalf of a group, please ensure that you have the consent of all members of the party before making a booking and that all members of your party have read and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. The person who signs the booking form or completes the booking online or by telephone will be the “lead name” for the purposes of the holiday booking. The lead name must be 18 years of age or over at the time of booking. The lead name is responsible for payment of the total booking price, which may include any subsequent cancellation or amendment charges that may be payable. The lead name must confirm that all the other members of the party agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and provide accurate and full information to the remainder of the group in relation to the booking, including any subsequent changes. Should any additional members of the group be added at a later date, it remains the responsibility of the lead name to ensure that any such members agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and are in receipt of all relevant information relating to the booking. Once you have paid your deposit you will be charged the full amount due of the remaining balance subject to the payment schedule. Failure to pay the balance may result in forfeiting your holiday If you do not wish to pay the balance payment you must notify Andorra Travel Service in writing, or if you wish to cancel and withdraw from the holiday this needs to be done also. See the cancellation section for charges. Please note that any booking and contract of services is not confirmed until payment is made in full. If you do not pay the required amount by the balance due payment date, or you have not paid in full by the final balance date, and have not informed us of a cancellation, you will be subject to an automatic late payment fee of £50 per person. Please check the details on any documentation which you receive from us and please contact us immediately in the event of any errors or discrepancies. Special Requests Although we will endeavour to pass any reasonable requests on to the relevant supplier, we regret we cannot promise that any requests will be complied with unless we have specifically confirmed this in writing. Confirmation that a special request has been noted or passed on to the supplier or the inclusion of the special request on your confirmation or any other documentation is not confirmed that the request will be met. All special requests are subject to availability. Insurance We consider adequate travel insurance to be essential. Please read your policy carefully and take it with you on holiday. It is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance cover you purchase is suitable and adequate for your particular needs. For those who intend to participate in sports, winter sports, water sports and any other activity whilst on holiday, it is your responsibility to ensure that you obtain the relevant insurance cover. Deposit’s Some accommodations require the guest to pay a damage deposit on arrival. This will need to be paid when the guest checks in to the accommodation and will be returned when the guest checks out as long there is no damage to the property. This will be down to the accommodations providers discrepancy. If you wish to query why you were charged the responsibility of this lies with the accommodation provider – however, we will do our best to assist you in contacting them and help to mediate when possible. City Tax Some accommodations require the guest to pay local city tax on arrival. This will only be included in the price for certain accommodations. Changes in price Changes in transportation costs, including the cost of fuel, dues, taxes or fees chargeable for services such as landing taxes or embarkation or disembarkation fees at ports and airports and exchange rates mean that the price of your holiday may change after you have booked. However there will be no change within 30 days of your departure. Should these price variations be downward then the price of your holiday will be accordingly reduced and any refund due paid to you. If the price variations mean that the cost of your holiday goes up, we will absorb (and therefore you will not be charged for) any increases up to 5% of your holiday price. You will only have to pay the amount over and above the 5% of your holiday price. Cancellation By you: If you decide to cancel the holiday and/or withdraw from any planned activities at your option, we shall be entitled to retain as much of the deposit or other payment as is needed to cover our reasonable costs and losses caused by your withdrawal. If the balance of the price of the holiday is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and retain your deposit, plus any charges subject to the below schedule. Andorran Official announcement
The Andorran ski resorts communicates that the ski resorts will close from 14th March in view of the need to increase precaution and avoid as maximum the risk of contagion of the COVID-19 coronavirus.
The ski resorts make the decision as a measure of responsibility to finalise the season with the wish to return to normality on the best delays. The health of our clients, workers and the general population is above all other circumstances.
We would like to thank you very much all the clients that have been sharing the season with us and we hope to welcome them again soon.
